ANNUAL COMPETETIVE GRANT CYCLE
DUE DATES
Our competitive grant cycle is an annual event that allows nonprofit organizations that benefit residents of Northwest Oklahoma to apply for grants up to $10,000. The deadline to submit a grant is September 13th. Final grant decisions will be made by mid-November.

GRANT GUIDELINES
The Cherokee Strip Community Foundation welcomes proposals from any non-profit organizations that benefit residents of Northwest Oklahoma, including the Enid and surrounding areas. The Foundation will consider funding for special projects, innovative programs, technology, and capacity building. Most grants are in the $1,000 to $10,000 range. Larger grants could be made on occasion.

GRANT RESTRICTIONS
As a rule the Foundation does not make grants for:​

Medical or scholarly research.

Membership fees.

Fundraising activities or events.

Debt reduction or operational deficits.

Sectarian religious purposes.

Travel for groups, such as school classes, clubs or sports teams.

Capital debt reductions.

Individuals.

Political projects.

The chances of your agency’s proposal being funded are substantially increased if the project:

Proposes practical solutions to community problems.

Is responsive to changing or emerging community needs.

Leverages or generates other funding or resources.
-
Promotes cooperation among non-profit agencies without duplicating efforts.
-
Addresses prevention as well as assistance for a problem.
